Hand in compo entry

Published: 07/26 18:35

It is quite easy to submit your compo entry using PTN. The instructions below will walk you through the process:

  1. In PTN, click the Compos link. You will be taken to the main compo page. If necessary, first create an account and register in PTN.
  2. On the list, to the right of the compo's title you should see a link labeled Handin. This means that it is currently possible to submit new entries and updates to existing entries to the compo.
  3. Click Handin to submit a new entry. Read the instructions on the next page.
  4. Click New entry. You will now be presented with the Assembly compo participation contract. Make sure you read and understand the contract. If you agree to the terms, click Accept.
  5. You will now be asked to provide some basic information about your entry. If the compo entry is a zip file under the size of 32 megs, you can upload it to PTN. (Select Upload now from the Medium dropdown menu) However, if the entry is large (eg. short film entry) or on some exotic media (eg. C64 floppy) and thus cannot be uploaded, select Bring in and bring the media to the Infodesk. The compo organizer will collect all manually submitted entries from the Infodesk before the jury.
    • NOTE: You must register your entry with PTN even if you do not use it for uploading your entry! Otherwise we cannot track who made the entry and what's the name of it!
  6. If you chose to upload your entry, you will be presented the entry upload page. Click Browse to find your file and start the upload by click the Upload button.
  7. A confirmation page will be displayed after the upload to let you know everything went ok. If you are having problems upload your entry, contact the Infodesk.
NOTE: It is possible to submit an updated version of your entry by contacting us. We will always try to publish the latest version to our distribution sites, but the version available at the deadline time is the one we'll use for juries and big screen showing.
