Assembly gathers each year the best teams and players from Finland to compete against eachother in various gaming competitions. This year, we have two partners who are organizing the competitions with us: World GameMaster Tournament and KODE5. Assembly 2006 presents these organisations for the gaming public first time in Finland.

WGT will take plays in 26 nations around the globe through out the second half of 2006. Let’s Game is the theme of this year’s WGT. It’s a nice and simple way to declare that  the gaming community is now a force to be reckoned with. Whether it’s online, PCs or consoles, gaming has become a serious trend among children, young adults and even the elders. "We need more events such as the WGT to let the world know that it’s time to relax and play".

Official WGT games in Assembly 2006 are: Quake 4 and Counter-Strike: Source and additionally FIFA 2006.

KODE5 masses gamers in 16 countries
in a series of regional events to find the best gamers from around the world. Part festival, part tournament, KODE5 Regional Events aim to provide gamers an unforgettable gaming experience. Participants will enjoy a professionally-run gaming event that enables them to connect with and challenge other gamers from their respective regions. A gaming tournament will determine the best players from each region, and a wealth of prizes awaits the victors. The best then fly to China to square off against the world's gaming elite. With television crews from around the world broadcasting, international media in attendance, and mass crowds rioting for their favorites, the KODE5 Global Finals will bring gaming to the center stage like no other gaming event. KODE5 will take competitive gaming to another level and gain the respect that gaming deserves.

Official KODE5 games in Assembly 2006 are: Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
