Voting instructions

The results of each competition are decided by a popular vote. In each category a party visitor can vote for the three best entries, except in demo compo for the five best entries. These entries are given points as follows:

  • 11 points for entry ranked 1st
  • 7 points for entry ranked 2nd
  • 5 points for entry ranked 3rd
  • (3 points for entry ranked 4th in the Demo compo)
  • (1 points for entry ranked 5th in the Demo compo)

The votes cast by oldskool area visitors are given points as follows:

  • 77 points for entry ranked 1st
  • 28 points for entry ranked 2nd
  • 20 points for entry ranked 3rd
  • (12 points for entry ranked 4th in the Demo compo)
  • (4 points for entry ranked 5th in the Demo compo)

All voting is done in the ASSEMBLY's PTN system. Read detailed voting instructions from the Party Manual voting section

Compo entry pre-releases in graphics and music compo

All entries that were shown in the big screen in the graphics and music compos will be pre-released immediately after the compo in a special format to make voting easier.

Graphics entries are pre-released as downscaled, unsigned images collected as one large "poster" with a watermark.

Music entries are pre-released as downscaled, separate clips, mixed with a notification of a preview, downloadable via FTP-server either individually or separately.

This is done to allow for more fair voting in the competitions. The reason why the complete entries are not released is to prevent the spreading of unsigned compo entries, which would otherwise compete with the final, signed releases.

The final entries will be released after the prize giving ceremony, when the author names need no longer to be protected.

The compo entries in group compos, in which the author name will be shown on the big screen, will be released as soon as possible after showing the compo. This will allow the voters to see the productions in their own computers before voting.
