Sound & vision compos

Sound & vision competitions are for the playback of visual and audible art, i.e. music tunes, pictures and videos. The entries are reproduced on a computer with a player or viewer program and they do not contain real-time computed effects unlike in the Realtime compos. Any device capable of playing the files is good for viewing the competition entries.
Music and graphics competitions come in many flavours: Instrumental music is the place for more synthesizer oriented, "computerized" music, with no human vocals. Freestyle music is the place for perhaps a bit more "mainstream" music that may include human vocals. Likewise there's a subtle but yet distinct separation between the Drawn themed graphics that combines the traditional pixel art with a given theme, and the Freestyle graphics which is open for anykind of still images (digital photography, scanned analog art, 3D renderings etc).
Fast competitions are organized during the party: you have a given theme or some other constraints, 90 minutes of time, and you need to come up with an interesting picture or a catchy tune. It's the speed that counts here – there's no time to finetune every minor detail to get the compelling piece of art finished.
Short film competition is where you can submit your computer generated animations, machinima films, movies or video art. The only requirement is that the productions are visually interesting and/or storywise compelling.
You can vote and submit your entries in PTN.
