Today, there are schools and venues which teach digital media and games industry related skills. But it hasn't always been like that. Assembly has been networking many of the talented people in the Finnish digital media industry throughout the years, opening possibilities to enchance skills and present achievements when there has not been other forums to do so. Assembly gave them a common ground where to show their skills in forms of competitions and created ways for meeting and sharing ideas in Finland since the dawn of the digital media and this new culture.

Assembly was selected as a winner by mr Risto Linturi, a well known visionist and digital media 'guru' in Finland. "MINDTREK Grand Prix 2006 competition was looking for the best innovative product, idea, concept or service. Assembly gathers the makers of digital media, shows the the goals and the path to make things happen. The successfull Finnish gaming industry owes a lot to this event. Assembly has become an institution and it takes a lot of time and persistence to create one. In my case, the selection of Assembly as the winner was clearly the choise of values", says Risto Linturi in the award speech.

Assembly Organizing is deeply moved by this award. It shows us that the work of hundreds of volunteers has created a success story, something that influenced the digital media industry and culture in Finland since the beginning. We will extend our deepest gratitude to these volunteers, both past and present, who have given their time to the event and were shaping it throughout the years. Be proud of what you have done!

Assembly Organizing

Battlefield 2142 will be published 19.10.2006. At the same time EA Finland will throw a challenge to all mercenaries out there - you are not playing for T-shirts or bottle openers anymore, but for a real jackpot.

”Battlefield 2142 Whoop Ass Challenge”, which is organized together with Assembly Organizing, starts at 30.11.2006 on this site. We will publish all the relevant news, rules and details on that day how you can take part of this competition. As a teaser we can give you some information at this moment... the best fighting team of Battlefield 2142 will get a whopping 10 000 euro paycheck!  (others will get the T-shirts and bottle openers and such :)

If any items were confiscated in the security check, you can also pick up these items from Hartwall Areena.

After the 13.8 the items will be delivered to the Helsinki City Police's lost and found office.

ASSEMBLY '06 is over. Four days of great fun, superb competitions, wonderful party atmosphere, excellent program and most importantly, a lot of friendly and happy party visitors.

It was our privilege to organize ASSEMBLY '06 for everybody who was at the party place. It was very gratifying to hear from you how you sincerely liked the party and wanted to come back next year. Thank you for those kind words - they make all the difference in the world!
