Ville-Kalle Arponen
Ville-Kalle's Master of Science studies took him around the world and revolved around artistic aspects of computers. His thesis was on non-photorealistic rendering. Ville-Kalle "Wk" Arponen is currently working as a programmer at Bugbear Entertainment, famous for the Flatout series.

Samuli Torssonen - Executive producer
Samuli is the creator of the Star Wreck series of films. He started making his own animated films back in the early 90's and has since developed considerable skill in 3D animation and graphics processing. As the executive producer of Star Wreck - In the Pirkinning, Samuli worked full days true to his vision, and is now CEO of Energia Productions Ltd.
Timo Vuorensola - Director
Timo is a 26-year-old film director from Tampere, Finland. Before Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, his first feature film, Timo had worked on a couple of short films and music videos. His growing interest on Internet as a great distribution and production channel begun, when communality started to play a big part on Star Wreck. Timo and Atte Joutsen, and rest of the Energia, Timo has created what is to be called Raven's Nest, a communal production platform for films on the Internet.
Antti Hukkanen - Office manager
Antti joined the Star Wreck project in 2002 as "the trailer voice guy", and has since performed various roles from script consultant to merchandise sales. In Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, he had a handful of voice acting parts, and he also did the English-language subtitles. Today, Antti is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both the Star Wreck Store and the online Wreckstore, as well as contributing to the writing process of Iron Sky.
Jarmo Puskala - Content producer
Jarmo is a storyteller. He has always been fascinated by all the little stories happening around him, the odd happenings, unprobable coincidences and all the things men do. Because of this sense of story he became a writer for Star Wreck - In the Pirkinning. Jarmo has also studied commercial media and is responsible for the Star Wreck and Energia Production web sites. He is currently producing content and new, fresh ideas on the Internet for Energia.

Peter Green
Formerly part of the regional evangelism team at Microsoft, now Peter is a Microsoft MVP and a frequent speaker at developer conferences. Peter is a Canadian expatriate who now lives in Europe with his family. When not programming, Peter is outdoors doing something, or traveling.

Kalle Happonen
Kalle had his first encounter with grids in 2004 at their European headquarters at CERN. He has been working on various grid projects for Helsinki Institute of Physics since then, both on the Finnish and European scale. He has mostly been working with different grid middleware and bothering ther developers.

Samuli Homanen
Samuli Homanen works at Lapland Studio as a CG Artist. His work mainly consists of modeling, rendering and animation tasks. Before Lapland Studio Samuli have been working in various video-, graphic design- and 3d-productions around Finland and Sweden. Samuli have graduated from Tampere Polytechnic School of Art and Media as a Barchelor of Arts and now he is writing his Master's thesis at University of Art and Design about creative 3d- and video-education.

Richard Huddy
Richard Huddy runs the European Developer Relations team for AMD's GPU team and has worked in games for more than 15 years. For most of that time, he has specialized in high-performance 3D graphics. He worked with both RenderMorphics and Criterion Software developing their low-level APIs before moving on to work as a device driver writer specializing in Direct3D optimization. Immediately before starting with ATI in 2002, Richard spent four years at NVIDIA running their European Developer Relations team. Richard's primary focus is teaching game programmers how to get the best from modern high-performance architectures using Direct3D. Richard has been a regular contributor at Microsoft's Meltdown conferences and also at the annual GDC and GDCE conferences. He lives in England and is proud of that fact.

Jari Komppa
Originally self-taught programmer with a long demoscene history, including groups such as dee, dubius, hysteria, trauma and armada. Among other things, Jari has been organizing the text mode demo competition for the pas decade. On the professional side, Jari was a lead software engineer at Fathammer for six years, and has recently moved to AMD.

Jetro Lauha
Jetro Lauha is a long-time contributor to the demoscene since the early 90's, and has visited all of the Assembly parties beginning from the very first one. Along making demos and intros, he has made a number of games, such as the "Stair Dismount" (Porrasturvat) with its sequels.
Recently Jetro co-founded Secret Exit, a new start-up focusing on games, where he works as the technical lead. Before that he worked as a Software Architect at Sulake Corporation.

Petteri Pasanen
Anima Vitae Ltd. is a 3D animation studio based in Helsinki, Finland. The studio was founded in 2000. With a staff of approximately 30 employees, we are the largest animation studio in Finland. Anima has been a subcontractor for TV commercials and series from the beginning. Since 2004 we have begun several productions of our own and we also operate as a delegate studio. Anima has worked on e.g. Itsevaltiaat, Keisarin Salaisuus and are currently working on a major big screen animation movie "Niko and the way to the stars"

Jani Penttinen
Jani Penttinen is an old skool demo programmer who made his first game "Utopos" already in the 1992 for Atari ST. In the past 15 years - all the way from Atari ST and Amiga to XBOX 360 and PS3 - he has worked for Finnish game developers Remedy and Housemarque as well as the world's largest game publisher Electronic Arts. His most notable contributions in games can be found in the Command and Conquer series, Medal of Honor series and Lord of the Rings RTS games where he has been one of the key programmers developing the 3D technology.
After 5 years in Las Vegas, USA, Jani moved to China and started a software company called XIHA. His main project today is a multi-cultural social networking site XIHA Life (http://www.xihalife.com). The site builds around games, naturally, but extends to other areas of life such as blogs, photos and friend match making. As is typical for Jani, everything has been programmed from ground up to raise the bar on programming in the world of PHP/HTML/JavaScript.

Antti Pirinen
Antti started working with grids at CERN in 2003. He has been working with Helsinki Institute of Physics with grid research since then. He has specialized in grid security, which was the subject of his Master's Thesis. At the moment he is the project coordinator for the new Finnish computing cluster which will be purchased to crunch the data coming from CERN's latest experiment, the LHC, in 2008.

Aki Raula
Aki started his career at Remedy in 1996 as a level designer. Aki worked on Max Payne 1 and 2. After participating in the pre-production of Alan Wake in 2004, Aki decided it was time to test his wings abroad. He joined Electronic Arts as a Senior Level Artist and Designer and worked on the critically-acclaimed Medal of Honor: European Assault. After the project was finished, Aki continued at EA as a Game Designer on Army of Two. Eventually Aki found his way to Guerrilla Games (a Sony studio in the Netherlands) where he was a Senior Designer on Killzone: Liberation for PSP.

Mika Rautio
Mika Rautio also known as 'Waffle' is a demoscene enthusiast. Over the years he has had a lot of experience with GNU/Linux as a demo platform by porting Windows releases and also making a few intros to it. One of his main demoscene interest is to promote experimental styles and also the usage of GNU/Linux and Mac OS X as an alternative demo platform.

Jere Sanisalo
Jere has been working in the games industry since the year 2000. He started at a company called Springtoys and developed technology for J2ME, SMS and native handheld applications. Since 2002, he has worked at Housemarque on worked on a multitude of tasks, including PS2, PSP, PS3, Symbian, J2ME, tools and general technology. Jere was also the lead programmer in the recent PS3 network store game published by Sony, called Super Stardust HD. Jere has also been an active scener, attending most Assemblies and participating in compos.

Lauri Savioja
Lauri Savioja works as the professor of virtual reality technology for the Laboratory of Telecommunications Software and Multimedia in the Helsinki University of Technology (TKK), Finland. He received the degree of Doctor of Science in Technology in 1999 from the Department of Computer Science, TKK. His research interests include virtual reality, computer graphics, room acoustics, and auditory displays.

Ari Silvennoinen
Ari first joined the graphics community in 2002 and started developing graphics engines for mobile devices. While studying at the University of Helsinki he founded a small startup company called Tripleactive Ltd., which provided graphics expertise for clients such as Nokia. His passion for graphics grew and later Ari joined the graphics research group at Helsinki University of Technology. Currently he works as a research scientist at Umbra Software, focusing his efforts on 3D visibility optimization

Bent Stamnes
Bent Stamnes has been a demoscener since 1989, mainly doing music and graphics for countless productions for many different demoscene groups (Proxima, Excess, Portal Process). He has organized the "The Gathering" demoparty since 1996 as well as several smaller, more demoscene-oriented parties like "Solskogen" and "Kindergarden". He co-authored the book "Demoscene: the art of real-time" in 2004 and joined Scene.org in 2005.
Scene.org is a non-profit organization aimed at providing the 'electronic art scene' with a forum for communication and for sharing their work. Since 1997 the organization has provided a home on the web for groups and individuals looking to find and audience for their work.
