ASSEMBLY SWITCHPARK

ZyXEL and Assembly Organizing have signed an agreement on full-scale co-operation concerning the management of ZyXEL’s stock of lendable Ethernet switches. ZyXEL donates approximately 300 switches for Assembly, who then lends the devices to different sized network events in Scandinavia and in Europe.

ZyXEL has been strongly supporting different computer events, fairs and LAN partys by lending switches and other network devices to the organizers, making it possible to build up the most essential technological requirement for such events: the Local Area Network. In the future, the switch management will be carried out by Assembly Organizing – the driving force behind Assembly events – to whom ZyXEL is donating its complete stock of lendable Ethernet switches, consisting of approximately three hundred Gigabit Ethernet devices. ZyXEL will continue to take care of the technical support, warranties, and service of the switches.

If you want to loan these switches, please send email to switchpark (-at) assembly.org with a subject line "Switch loan for <your event's name>"

Tell us all the important information about the event you represent; how many and when you need the switches, contact information and general information about the event itself. We will contact you in about one week and will send more information how to proceed.

Please note, that the event loaning the switches must take care of the transportation costs and insurances. A small fee is also collected to cover Assembly Organizing expenses such as storage rents, handling fees, security services and local insurances. We try to service all possible events in Europe, but we are not willing to loan switches to events with less than 100 computer places.

Currently the switch park has over 300 switches that we can borrow. Most of them are manageable switches for 10/100 networks with gigabit & stacking modules for base network. We also have some 16-port unmanaged gigabit level switches as well. Total number of ports we can serve is around 7500.

Please note: we reserve the switches in First In - First Served principle. The earlier you can make the official reservation, the better for your event. When you send us the reservation email, we will send back information if we have switches at that time and an agreement, that you need to return to us. After this process, we will make the binding reservation.
