ASSEMBLY Summer '08 is over. See you at Winter '09!
Watch over your stuff!
We would like to remind you at this moment of the event, that you should always watch over your equipment and protect them when you leave to get some sleep or food. Read about simple steps how to ensure your event goes smoothly.

Assembly is a huge party, with over 5000 visitors being present at the venue and the event is open 24 hours. Within this 5000 people a small percentage of people might be looking for a good moment to get something that is not theirs. Although we have very low incident percentages of stolen equipment, you should still prevent thieves getting your stuff. There are few principles that can prevent these from happening:
- If you have friends with you at the event venue, ask them to guard your stuff. If you go to sleeping area, you might want to take the most valuable items with you.
- Assembly has a storage area for equipment and items at the info desk, you can leave your valuables to be stored to us
- Laptops are a very easy target, so always protect them by locking mechanisms (like kensington locks). You can buy these at the event from Jimm's PC-Store for 15 eur a piece. Quite a bargain for security
- Use your common sense, always take care of the equipment
If something happens, please contact our infodesk or security as fast as possible when you notice something has been stolen from you.
