Basic rules:
- Difficulty: Expert
- Matches are played in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock (Xbox 360)
- All matches are played in Pro Face-Off -mode
- Hyperspeed available (default 1)
- Sign up to the Guitar Hero tournament at the event via TMS
Tournament rules
Seeding round:
Guitar Hero tournament starts with a seeding round. In this seeding round all contestants play one song (decided by organizers) and they will be seeded to A, B, C and D-groups. 4 players each group, total 16.
Group round:
In group round, contestants play groups internal 4-player Free for All -match. Songs for this round are selected by contestants themselves. Each player is allowed to choose two songs. Game counts score for players from their place in song scores. Three best from each group advances to the semifinals.
Semifinals:
In semifinals contestants are placed on seeded double elimination bracket. In double elimination bracket, every contestant start in upper bracket and upon a loss gets dropped to lower bracket. Losing at lower bracket leads to elimination from the tournament
Upper bracket:
In these matches, contestants will play songs from the WCG songlist. In every round, contestants are allowed to choose one from two songs, if contestants can't decide the song themselves, judges will choose it for them.
Lower bracket:
In these matches, contestants will play songs from the Guitar Hero 5 disc, judges have preselected the songs for each match.
Finals:
In Finals, winner of lower bracket chooses a song. If the winner of lower bracket wins the song, an additional best of three finals will be played where both of the contestants choose a song and tiebreaker song will chosen by judges.
