A computer place is just that - a table space for your computer. It comes with a chair, one electricity and network socket and nothing else - the rest is for you to bring. Make sure you are sitting in the right place and not taking more room than what is allowed. Each computer place is marked with tape.
When you buy a computer ticket, what you get is exactly:
- an entry ticket (24h/day access to the party)
- one reserved place for your computer
The computer ticket includes an entry ticket, which is the same as the entry ticket you can buy separately. The computer place itself is a reserved place in one of long tables in the party hall.
Computer place dimensions
A computer place is 75 cm wide, 70 cm deep and roughly 70 cm off the floor. Premium computerplace is 100 cm wide, 70 cm deep and 70 cm off the floor. The place isn't terribly large, so you can't fit your boom box speakers, big monitor and maxitower case on the same place.
The larger computer places at the front of the hall are 100 cm wide, 70 cm deep and roughly 70 cm high off the floor.
The computer places are marked on the table with tape. You are not allowed to use more space than what is allocated for you. You are not allowed to move your table or the chairs.
The maximum weight you are allowed to put on top of the tables is 50 kg.
Computer place facilities
A computer place consists of the table space and
- a comfortable, cushioned chair
- 1 electricity socket with power enough for a regular gaming PC or console
- 1 socket in a PartyNet switch
Everything else you need to bring yourself (e.g. electricity extension cord, network cable).
Read Find your computer place.

|Can I bring a gaming console?||Yes. You can bring both a gaming console and a computer, but due to constraints on electricity use, you can only use one of them at a time. If you do not have a computer place, you can still bring them, but you will probably find it hard to find a place to use them.|
|Can I bring a fridge, coffee maker, microwave oven, etc?||Yes, you can bring your own fridge, coffee maker and other kitchen equipment. However, these need to be placed at the separate kitchen equipment area.
|Can I bring a peltier / travel fridge to my computer place?||Yes, you can connect a low power usage fridge like a peltier fridge, or a travel fridge to the computer place. If you can run the fridge of a car's electricity system (e.g. with lighter adaptor), you can use it also at your computer place. You can also use cool boxes which have a small, eletrical cooling element.|
|Can I bring my own chair?||
No, you are not allowed to bring your own chair due to fire safety regulations. Our chairs are pretty comfy.

|How many computers / monitors / etc can I bring?
|There is no hard limitation, but all the equipment you bring to the computer place must fit to the computer place's physical dimensions. You may not exceed the electricity limit.|
|What kind of speakers / sound system can I bring?||You can bring your own "home stereo" equipment (you may not exceed the electricity limit). Read more at the Rules page section "Music Loudness".|
How much electricity can I use?
The maximum amount of constant power usage per computer place is 300 watts. This is the actual usage (not the nominal power usage shown e.g. on your computer's power supply). This power is sufficient for a standard gaming PC, a monitor, a small speaker set and some other low power consumption devices like fans.
You are not allowed to connect coffee makers, microwave ovens, fridges or other high power consumption devices to your computer place's electricity socket. These machines must be placed in the separate kitchen equipment area.
You can connect a low power usage fridge like a peltier fridge, or a travel fridge to the computer place. If you can run the fridge of a car's electricity system (e.g. with lighter adaptor), you can use it also at your computer place. You can also use cool boxes which have a small, eletrical cooling element.
You are not allowed to use kitchen equipment such as coffee makers, toast ovens, microwave ovens, high power usage fridges or other kitchen machinery ate the computer place! These devices consume so much electricity that they easily overload the electricity grid and cause blackouts. However, there is a separate area (check maps) in the event place where you can place your kitchen equipment and use them. Check also rules.
