Graphics competitions are for the display of visual art, i.e., pictures.
The entries are reproduced on a computer with a player program and they do not contain real-time computed effects unlike in the realtime competitions. Any device capable of displaying the files is good for viewing the competition entries yourself.
Three different flavors of graphics competitions provide unique and fun challenges to the artists.
The general graphics competition does not limit themes and techniques in any way. The jury will bring forth images of various techniques, e.g., drawn, rendered, photographed with after touch, to have a versatile graphics competition.
The fast graphics competition is organized during the party: you have a given theme or some other constraints, 90 minutes of time, and you need to come up with an interesting picture. It's the speed that counts – there is no time to fine-tune every minor detail to get the compelling piece of art finished.
The photography competition challenges you to take a stunning picture without excessive post-processing. Only minor re-touching (crop, scale, contrast, color temperature) is allowed.
