ASSEMBLY is a computer festival. The party is organized for computer enthusiasts by computer enthusiasts as place where you get to do all the cool things you can do with your computer together with thousands of other likeminded people.

Metal people have their Tuska festival, rock & pop fans have their Ruisrock, and computer hobbyists have ASSEMBLY. Like any other good festival, ASSEMBLY is really all about having a good time with people who enjoy the same things you also do.

ASSEMBLY comes from the demoscene and has expanded to cover everybody who wants to push their computer beyond what is ordinarily done. If you enjoy using your computer, just think of all the cool things you can do with your computer and multiply that by 3000 as that is how many computers and computer users just like you there are at ASSEMBLY. It's fun by yourself, but is 3000 times more fun at ASSEMBLY!

Oh yes, ASSEMBLY is a lot fun! Instead of being alone with your computer, you get to be with your old and new friends doing all kinds of cool stuff like playing games, enjoying our competitions, partying out in our concerts and raves, or throwing a CD-ROM over 60 meters!

Everybody comes to ASSEMBLY to have a good time. It's festival where we set the stage and provide some program, but most of the action happens when you do, what ever you want to do with your computer together with your friends. And that's the simple definition of fun! Enjoying yourself and we'll make sure that everything runs smoothly.

Great atmosphere

A pitch black hall with the only light coming from the pulsating 3000 computer screens and musical chaos sounding in the background. 3000 people hacking away at their computers while another 1500 people hang out with their friends.

It's one of a kind feeling being at ASSEMBLY. It's cool, its friendly, its exciting. People who speak the same language, share a similar sense of humour and understand what's really cool. The people at ASSEMBLY are like you. Young hackers, IRC chatters, demo programmers, hard core gamers, casual gamers, web designers, hardware geeks, nerds even. If computer is your hobby, the ASSEMBLY is the place where the hobbyists gather.

Cool program

ASSEMBLY is packed full of cool program such as competitions, concerts, raves, special events like Robosota and Star Wreck visit and much more.

The party goes on 24h/day and there's always something to do - either organized events or just having fun with your friends. You can always somebody to share the fun on IRC and on our forums.

The party is also covered on our very own TV channel: AssemblyTV. If you can't make it to the party, you can always tune in on AssemblyTV. You might even become a TV star while at ASSEMBLY!

You can also organize your own program. Bring along your dance mats or karaoke microphones and watch how people will want to come and play with you.

Great competitions

We got plenty of competitions including demo scene competitions, professional gaming competitions and fun competitions like disk throwing, Guitar Hero tournament and ASUS ITG Dance competition.

For the demo scene competitions (Realtime, Sound & Vision) individuals and groups prepare their works of art weeks and even months in advance. You can then enjoy these outstanding shows of creativity on the big screen and vote to decide the winners.

The professional gaming competitions are essentially the Finnish championships in gaming. Teams and inviduals qualified thru ranking systems and qualifier matches are invited to battle in the tournaments. Spectators can enjoy the game over webcast and on site as the teams play.

Fun competitions like disk throwing, Microsoft Street basketball, Guitar Hero tournament and ASUS ITG Dance competition are open for every ASSEMBLY visitor. Simply sign up and join!

Well organized

ASSEMBLY has been organized annually since the year 1992 and we have had over 4500 visitors every year since the year 1995. Over time we have honed our skills and you can expect a very well organized party with all essential services including food and drink, showers and sauna, cleaning and stand-by electrician, excellent partynet, comfy computer places and more.

With over 200 volunteers working to make sure the event runs smoothly, we can promise you a party with out major hickups.
