Rules
Scope
The following rules apply to all official game competitions at ASSEMBLY Winter 2012. Specific competitions may amend these rules.
Participation
- To participate in a competition it is required to sign up according to the rules.
- Competitions are open to everyone, with the exception of pro-gaming competitions, which require an applicant to qualify for participation as indicated by the specific competitions' rules.
- The individual or team participating must be present at the party place to be eligible to participate and to receive any prizes he or they might win.
- By participating in a competition you accept these rules and all of the rules specific to the competition and you will abide by those rules.
- You must accept the competition contract when participating in any official game competition. This contract governs the rights and responsibilities of you and the event organizers.
Disqualification
- Organizers reserve the right to disqualify a participant or a team for racist or disturbing behavior, or breaking any rule applicable to the particular competition.
Prizes
- Prizes may change. The prize pool that has been announced is the minimum guaranteed.
- Depending of the quality and number of participants in each competition, ASSEMBLY Organizing can opt to redistribute some of the prizes (max 50%) to other categories.
- All money prizes will be paid in the prize giving ceremony. If the winning team or player chooses not to participate the prize giving ceremony they will lose their eligibility for the prize.
- All the cash prizes will be paid in euros.
- By the Finnish regulations, the winners must handle all possible taxes from their prizes by themselves with their own country's tax code. Assembly is keeping the logs and will provide them to these authorities by request.
Amendments and further rules
- Organizers reserve the right to augment or modify the competition rules if deemed necessary to remediate possible ambiguities or contradictions.
