Casual tournaments

Casual tournaments will once again be part of Assembly Winter. Aimed at the casual LAN-goers, there are multiple tournaments in different games going on throuhout the event, so there is no time to participate in all of them. This time, the prizes will consists entirely out of product prizes, amounting to roughly €10,000 in value. The top three of every tournament will be awarded.

Casual tournaments will be played in the following games:

  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  • Overwatch 
  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • Hearthstone - no computer ticket required
  • Rainbow Six: Siege - no computer ticket required
  • Quake Champions - just for fun, without prizes

BYOC finals at tournament stages

We have something special coming up this event, as for the first time we will be playing the finals of the casual tournaments in CS:GO, Dota 2 and Overwatch on the tournament stages. The stages are normally reserved for professional tournaments but now we would like to offer something extra for the casual players as well, as they get to enjoy the excitement of playing on a big stage in front of a live audience.

Rainbow Six Siege at MSI booth

Assembly visitors have a chance to participate in Rainbow Six: Siege tournaments, which are played at the MSI booth inside the event. No computer ticket needed. MSI organizes a tournament on Friday and on Saturday, both tournaments can handle a maximum of eight teams. The prizes consists of MSI and Ubisoft product prizes for the top two teams.

Yle FTW organizes PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds games

Yle FTW brings the currently most popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlergounds into Assembly Winter 2018. FTW group runs a custom PUBG server throught the event, and a new game is starting roughly once an hour. Winners will receive a small prize which stays true to the game itself.
